Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes - including you.

For years I used to work day in and day out, either on customer work or by improving my skills (technical prowess, people skills, etc.). The constant grind leaves a mark though. Your energy levels drop and you feel a little off. The interesting thing is how it happens and how you don’t even realise it as it happens.

Last year, around summer, a friend of mine and myself introduced our relaxation Saturdays. We meet every Saturday and spend time together talking, cooking, going for walks, coffee shop hopping, watching movies, etc. . The beauty of it is that we don’t work on related fields and have nothing to talk about regarding work (apart from the “how was your week?”).

This little ritual has improved my life significantly and I’m really grateful for it.

I’m writing this on a Saturday morning, and I need to get going, Vitali is waiting.

Do you have small rituals that help you ground yourself and recharge?
